Sorry if this is a repeat. I have taken up two sheets of vinyl and there is original hardwood flooring underneath I would like to remove what's left of the paper backing and the adhesive without destroying the hardwood. I intend on refinishing the hardwood, so no worries about the finish. The vinyls has been down for probably 30 years or so. Ideas? Suggestions?

I have been told Krud Kutter might do it as well as acetone or paint thinner. Thanks.

I used Krud Kutter and it worked great for anyone interested. I can tell by the number of responses to my original question that it might not be a HOT topic. KK is biodegradeable and work well for me if I let it soak in.
