We are knocking down walls to create a more open concept in our new house. The problem is the hardwood floor in one room is newer and doesn't match the rest, also the older hardwood is in pretty rough shape. Not to mention there will be gaps where the walls will be removed.
I would like to lay all new hardwood in these rooms. My question is can I install the new hardwood floor over the old hardwood or do I have to remove it?
Also if I have to remove it any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance!
