 Ok, i'll jump right to the details. house renos complete and we installed Hand Scraped Oak Engineered Hardwood in most of the house and the pl glue got tracked around everywhere and dried.

I have done lots of reading and see that PL is horrible to remove without affecting the finish of the floor. It is next to impossible to remove without sanding I heard and Solvent has little effect on PL Premium once cured. Some has been removed following and using various things but there is lots left and also some spot started to show signs of finish being removed as it has a white haze in small spots and feels too smooth vs the general floor. I have seen the following suggestions are all over the place people posted the following ...

***( Please let me know what works best to remove the pl glue without affecting the finish if possible and also for areas that were already affected how to restore the finish and get rid of the white haze on small spots ) ***

-water / mild soap
- vinegar / water
- Acetone /Mineral spirits
-WD 40 / water
-Paint thinner /water
-goo be gone
-Various other cleaners etc from hardware shops.

Thoughts?

Magic erasers, sanding or hand scrape it and refinish.

A dry squeaky finger, rubbed hard on it. It will ball up like an eraser.

You may not have a finger tip when your done with all the spots, but it does work.

seriously, had this very same problem.
use dry (not wet, not even damp) Mr. Clean Magic Erasers - they will take off the dried glue - even after weeks.
see my posting from around a year ago (name: pmcallisguitar54)
