I get the importance of relative humidity and a hardwood floor. What I'm concerned about are the fluctuations in my home throughout the year. I live in central Indiana and run HVAC all year, set to 72 in the winter and 75 in the summer, and use no humidification or dehumidification. Any suggestions on what RH would be the most ideal to install in would be greatly appreciated. My guess is 40-45%, would sit in the middle of the yearly avg.

I guess, from the looks of it on this map not many places are higher than you. You can probably find on thats more specific to your area on a weather site.

Before HVAC, granny always had a pot boiling on the stove in the winters.

Learn something new everyday....

As it should be!

Didn't know that, but makes sense.
