I am slowly completing my installation of engineered flooring. I have put things on hold for a short time because of rain and high relative humidity -- the flooring and subfloor are within the manufacturers specifications for moisture -- but I am wondering if I have to move ahead with installation, is there any rule of thumb or other advice about installing flooring when the humidity is high?

I'm still wondering why you put things on hold???? You would be done by now.

Your interior humidity is all that matters, and it would have to be pretty dang high to matter at all.

I put things on hold mostly because of travel and work ... I have been home about 8 days since October 15. IOne of the draw backs of DIY. Given the time it takes to do this, I appreciate the work of professionals, but my wife and I both enjoy doing the work ourselves.

I have time to catch up now, but the humiditiy issue concerns me, so I will crank up the heater and get things as dry as I can.

Thanks for the comments!

What heater? You may be over reacting here. Set the HVAC to your normal lived in conditions and see what the RH reads. Thats what matters.
