I will be refinishing floating floor.
Brazilian cherry, 1/8" top layer, 7 " wide, 7 ' long.
Floor is in very good condition.
The only problems are the discolorations caused by covering some areas with rugs and direct exposure to sun.

Do you think sanding will fix the discoloration?
Any tips for sanding 1/8 top layer floor?

Thank Rafal

NO!!!!!! Remove the rugs and the floor will catch up and patina, as the exposed wood has.

You start sanding that floating floor, you may be replacing the floor, after you cut through the wear layer by accident. If you must, use a multi head orbital, not a drum or belt sander. The viabration is known to cause chatter marks.

That is correct.
B.Cherry changes color with exposure to light.
Give it time and all will be well.

 :P
