Has anyone installed solid hardwood floor over a radiant floor heating system?

We are getting a heat system with three tubes running in each joist bay under the subfloor. Joist are at 16" o.c. We have heard different answers to this question and understand the risks of the wood expanding and contracting. Some say we can do it but no one that has done it before and can tell us how it worked out. We have some bamboo flooring and would like to use some hickory and /or ash.

The Radiant Panel Assoc. and many others recommend an engineered floor due to it's stability. A floating floor is the best way to go. A nail down engineered comes in second, with a solid quartersawn strip floor next. The WORST way to go; A wide plank unstable solid wood floor, like maple or hickory.

I don't know about all that floating talk, but solid wood will not perform well over radiant heat. The stuff will wind up having every bit of moisture driven out of it in the heating months. It ain't a pretty sight.
