Hi. Great forum here....lots of good info.
Here's my question: I'm going to be putting down a new hardwood floor in our living room, dining area and kitchen. Currently there is carpet in the living room and vinyl over 1/4" underlayment in the dining/kitchen area. I've done two other hardwood floor projects with great results. My question is about getting the underpayment cut out.....the cabinets are down on it, so I'll need to cut it out. I've seen the various toe kick saws, but am curious about the Bosch 1640VS saw.
http://www.boschtools.com/Products/Tool ... pid=1640VS Would this be a good saw for cuting the perimiter of the underlayment? I'm going to need to shorten some door jams, so it looks like this saw could be a nice double duty saw for that purpose.
Any thoughts or experience with this?
Thanks in advance!
