Hello All,

I previously posted a question on here, but I am still fairly new.

Here is my dilemma...
I installed false treads & risers on my stairs this past weekend, and proceeded to stain with what I thought was my desirable color.
However, I'm not sure if I need to layer stains to get a different color, or what....So I'm looking for suggestions

Here is the color I have:

And here is the color I want:

The wood is maple, and for some reason the actual pieces look different than my test piece that I used for color....I used wood conditioner on all of them, and it looks great as far as absorption, and no splotchy-ness....I just wanted a richer/darker color I guess....Any ideas? I'm thinking I may just let it go...But I'm not entirely sure it matches the tone of my carpet.

What do you all think? Thanks in Advance! :D [/img]
