Gotta question for laying a new woodfloor over an old subfloor.
See this thread with pics and more details on the actual subfloor:

Fast forward to today...
This 'subfloor' actually looks great now (Bona Drifast + Traffic) but unfortunately it has been sanded too many times in the past (a few times by chumps without the correct skills) so at this point in its life it's getting cracks/splinters at the tongue and groove joints. Instead of
ripping up the fir subfloor and installing a new subfloor and followed by the actual wood flooring, can a new wood floor just be
laid over top the current old subfloor, with the wood strips oriented in the same direction? Or will this cause problems?
Thanks a bunch!
