I'm new to the world of hardwood as I am just moving into my first home, so I'm in an information gathering mode right now,trying to learn as much as possible. Thank God I found this site!

I am curious about Brazillian Rosewood. I was in a hardwood store a couple weeks ago where they were advertising Brazillian Rosewood, and had a sample. From what I remember, Brazaillian Rosewood has an international trading embargo placed on it since the early 90's, due to it's status as an endangered species. Are their other ways of getting this wood into other countries legally? Or is it just another wood posing as the real thing? I also noticed it listed on the main site here, so I'm really confused as to it's availablilty.
