New guy here with some questions regarding installing the Costco ( Harmonics) laminate. I'm going to be doing an area of about 384 sf, the longest straight wall is 22', I'd like to start there, as it would have the laminate running the same way as stairs, should I decide to do the stairs, but that would make the seams run lengthwise to the door and window that allow some sunlight in.

The bigger problem is 3 heating vents in the floor, two on the East wall, one on the North wall. These vents are only about 2-4" off of the wall, so at least one vent will need very small pieces installed. Manufacturer's rep says you cant do pieces that small, voids warranty.

How does one go about solving this ?

TY

Glue the pieces, and they will not move. A small bead of glue on the tongue under the lock, not in the groove. Small pieces relying on the rotating lock, don't have enough strength to hold. Gluing takes care of that problem

Use the white glue on plastic laminates. Titebond brand is what I use mainly.
