HiYaAll,
Need subfloor help~ for my kitchen, about 10x15.
I have 1950 circa home. 1x6 angle planks 16 OC covered with 3/4 plywood. Then comes 2 layers of regular 12x12 linoleum squares. The floor and tiles are well adhered, solid and level. I'd like to apply 1/4 birch plywood instead of luan as subfloor. I bought 1 1/2 - 1/4 crown staples to adhere the birch subfloor via air gun. I'd like to lay sheet linoleum over that, not sure if I'm going to glue the whole floor or float it. I can't afford wood. However, my liv, bdrms, hallway are oak- love it~ just refinished with fabulon
ques?
Does that sound alright for my substrate kitchen floor?
Do I need to liquid nails the subfloor too?
What would be my nailing pattern on the edges and field?
Also,
Since I have mineral based Fabulon, 3 coats applied on my oak. For touch up would it be ok to cover areas with Minwax satin ureathane? I went with natural so I could probably hit it with some 60 then 100 with my palm sander- being small area, doorway pattern etc, then blend it in.
I know it's alot of questions, I'm remodeling the home- kitchen in progress!!
I LOVE THIS STUFF, especially after it's all done<G>
Thanks
Ron
