I have an L-shaped Living Rm/Dining Rm. Was hoping to move larger pieces of furniture into the Din Rm while working on the Liv Rm, do my 3 coats (over 3 days), let it dry for an extra couple of days, then move the furniture into the finished part and do the the unfinished room.

Will it be noticeable? Should I run some 3M delicate tape along the edge of one of the floor boards where I stop?

TIA.

You should not have a problem as along as the flooring is parallel and you break along a straight line it is more difficult if you are breaking the room across the grain.

It'll work. Be sure to mix your finish really well for all your last coats and prevent any air flow across the rooms while the finish is drying. Also, don't leave blue tape on the floor for long. It isn't guaranteed so I never trust it any more than I have to. I would coat up to the tape line and then within a few minutes, remove the tape and let the finish dry.
