Newbie here.
Can someone explain the advantages and disadvantages of 3/8" engineered flooring and solid 5/16"?
Price wise, they seem comparable.
I'll be installing over a wood sub-floor above grade and nailing/stapeling down. So, I assume I can use either product (also assumes the engineered product can be stapeled).
I do live in Colorado, dry climate. Make a difference?
The only big difference I see is the solid material can be sanded/refinshed more so than the engineered. Also, the engineered may be a more stable, less expansion/contraction, than the solid.
The engineered can also be used below grade and over concrete but not applicable in this case.
For the pro's, given the application, which would you preffer to use?
Thanks
