We have 1.5" OSB and want to put an underlayment down prior to installing our 7.5" wide engineered wood. Is 1/4" plywood sufficient or do we need 3/8"? We are planning on gluing and nailing.

Thanks.

Is your area subject to large swings in humidity? Engineered wood is pretty stable.I would just fasten it to the sub-floor with inch and a half staples, every 6 inches and at the ends. Does the manufacturer recommend gluing?
