My floor guy is coming over today to get paid for his work on doing my floors and I have a question. There are 3 spots where the finish is lighter than the rest of the floors. You can see a brush stroke that spans like 3 of the boards. I mentioned it to him on Friday when it was just barely dry and he said it was where the sealer wasn't super dry when they put on the poly coat and that it should go away as the floor hardens and dries over the next week. He's expecting to get paid today. In my experience, if you pay the guy and there is a problem then you'll never get proper resolution to the issue. Does anyone know if these spots are common and will dry out of the finish or should I make him fix these spots before I pay him?
