Get your battle face on, thats going to be a tough battle to win. Keep pestering the insurance company. I've had to go into mediation with one before. Took a long time but I won. You should look for a qualified inspector in your area do a detailed inspection even if it means a little distructive testing. Send some samples to a lab to check the quality of the old floor vs the new floor. Find an inspector who has a long installation background, not just a salesman or carpet cleaner/inspector.
