Hi,

I would really appreciate some help with a problem I have with my floor boards. About a year ago, I stripped back the original floorboards in my house, and laid new ones in the kitchen (as these were damaged). I then stained all of the floorboards in the house. However, now, a year later, I have large gaps between the new boards I put down in the kitchen - also a few of the boards have cracked leaving gaps down the middle of them. It looks like they have shrunk.

Could anyone give me any advice on what materials I can use to fill the gaps. The floor is finished and stained so I done want to replace, resand anything. Is there some dark coloured filler I could use to fill the gaps?

Thanks in advance for your help
Peter

Best thing to use in your case is a product made by "Colorite" It is a sealant and adhesive caulk, and they have literally 100's of stock colours and will also custom match on request.

Just be aware if the floor moves back to the original size. it will push back out and be a crackeld mess.
