I had a re-finisher sand, stain and finish my engineered oak floors recently. This was the second and last time they were able to be sanded/refinished. I asked for a second coat of Minwax oil based stain to be applied since first coast was very light. Guy came back by himself (no helper this time) and really laid stain on thick in areas. I had a hunch that he did not wipe off properly. I called this out but he said don't worry. Stain was left to dry for nearly 6 days. Areas were dry to touch but still looked shiny in spots and thick. Again, he said not to worry. See attached pics of end result after 3-4 coats of water based poly. Some areas on floor are fine, but some areas like the ones shown have these bubble marks. Any way to remedy these areas? THANKS

The finish appears to be orange peeled .If so that could be from laying down multiple coats without abrading between coats properly.

But the wood looks like it could be over saturated with stain which could possibly cause the finish to dry bumpy like that .If this is the case, you're looking at sanding off the mess and starting over .

For future reference, it's a bad idea to use more than 1 thorough coat of stain on flooring .Over saturating the wood grain with stain can cause adhesion issues with the finish.
