I have a problem with an engineered wood floor partially installed (glued down) to a radiant heat system. We stopped installation after we discovered that the floor was defective from Amazon Wood Floors. There were huge holes, unfilled knots where engineered floor below is visible, 1/4" deep scrapes and gouges with rough, splintered edges. Our problem is that we can't remove what has already been installed because it is glued down. We don't want to finish the floor installation with this terrible quality floor, we can't sand and refinish the floor and patch holes because the veneer is too thin. Can we put different flooring over the top? Will this affect the radiant heat below because there will be double thickness in the area with the glued down floor and single thickness where we haven't installed yet? Amazon Wood Floors' customer service was awful and certainly do not recommend working with this company! What do you recommend we do to fix? I will post photos on images gallery.
