My husband and I just spent 8k on having hardwood installed in our kitchen and having the rest of our house sanded and re-stained. The kitchen looks fine but there are huge problems with the other rooms and stairs. The most painful is very dark stain 2-6"s out around the edges of 2 of the rooms and swipe marks in the stain. A manager came out and said it was from "soil stains" and if they sanded it again it would just come out the same way. I'm not sure I believe that since some of those areas were covered with carpet and looked pristine (in a lighter color) before we had the work done. The team also left holes in the floor unfilled, dented stainless kitchen appliances, got stain on my white front door and left trash everywhere. Please help
Is it truly useless to sand and re-stain? I know there are only so many times you can sand down.... Magnus Anderson job btw.
