Hey folks new to the board.

Just found out about the Gym edition Primatech. Says it's for larger areas but can't see why. Maybe you loose an inch or two but who cares?

Does anyone have experience with it? I'm concerned that I may break the wheels if I smash it on stubborn boards. Any reviews?

All of the PRIMATECH line are excellent tools. The 250-A has rollers mounted on it to eliminate the need for lifting the tool. As awkward as this may sound, once my installers get past the initial getting used to the tool, they absolutely refuse to go back to the standard model.
The 250-a is also easily adjustable (without shims or changing base plates) for 33/32 floor, which is the main reason for the term "Gym Edition".
They also produce an engineered version (Q-550) which is also very easily adjustable for all the various thinknesses of engineered floors and uses an 18 gauge nail to help eliminate surface dimpling on those thinner products.

Sounds like I "rep" the product, doesn't it? But I don't. I just have a great deal of respect and admiration for their simple but rugged design. Almost all my crews have switched to one or another model of the Primatech gun, depending on their needs. Most use the 240 sinch all they do is 3/4 inch product.

All of these guns now have an optional dual nail sleeve to cut the number of reloads needed in half. This does not interfere with space needed at starting wall, since the two sleeves of nails are loaded side-by-side and automatically switch to the second sleeve when the first one is used up.
