 Post subject: Poly seems to be pealing up at floor seam

Ok so now its about 1.5 months later and we love our floor, however I have noticed the poly finish is pealing up near the seam of the floor. Its like the wood is contracting?

Maybe it was my prep job? I did 2 coats of Home Depot Parks Pro oil based finished and let it dry at least 72 hours between coats. I also abrased it between coats.

Thoughts?

its called white line syndrome, however, in essence, it really is not this case.

yes it is due expansion contraction and it more inherent in waterbase finishes.

what you are really experiencing it undried stain and poly that was between the boards and has gassed off into your topcoats..

more than likely you can just scratch them away with your fingers and see that it causes no harm to the face of the board and rest of the finishes.

If it is random, just do as I stated..if its the entire floor then you may want to scrape it then screen ands recoat.
