Darn! If only I would read before I buy. I have an 18g 2inch nailer. Too small for face nailing and starter-course tongue nailing?

Thanks

yes too small, don't go smaller than 15 gauge, bostitch n62fkn2 has had good reviews by mnany installers. Arwe you face nailing the whole floor or just need it for starting and finishing?

I can borrow a friends 16 g 2 inch nailer, but I hate to outlay $$ for something I will never use again. Maybe I can rent one with the floor nailer. It will only be for the starter courses.

Here's your money saving, "Tip of the Day". Get yourself some finish nails of the correct size, like 6 or 8's. Cut the head off one using a pair of diagonal cutters (I was gonna say dykes, but am trying to be PC). Chuck it in your drill, walaa, instant drill bit. I have nailed off more wood then I can remember this way with no problem. Or, you could buy a tube or two of an adhesive that remains elastic, (like liquid nails), and apply the glue in strips, down the width, (the short way) every 8 " or so, and use your brad gun.
