My wife has seen some posts on Pinterest where instead of using plywood as a subfloor, they are cutting it into planks and using it as the floor itself. Anyone have experience with this? Especially interested into how to attach it to a concrete slab. We live in AZ, so things are pretty dry. Thanks for your advice!

Sounds like alot of work for something very temporary. No T&G to hold it together, and your cuts have to be near perfect. You can glue it down but I envision a mess.
YOu'd be better off buying some cheap stuff at LL, although not much better IMO.

Agreed, but the other part is easy. Just beat it up, make it look distressed and the perfection isn't needed.

Attach? Some type of troweled urethane adhesive is my thought. Probably have to kerf cut the backside so it flexes and stays flat. Keeping it in place? Hmmn, maybe some sprig nails.
