I am installing Jatoba (BC). Most of the transitions I have so far are at cross angle (0deg or 90deg), where I was able to use the Tongue or grove on once side to match the perpendicular side. In this problem transition, where it would be at 60 deg to wood floor. The wood would be having the tongue side facing the transition. To match the wood to the transition I need to cut the wood at 60 deg, thus loosing the tongue. I don't know how to mate the T&G together. Please help

Router, Top bearing(big bearing) groove cutter, spline(also called a slip tongue)

What exactly is the process to do this?! Do you just put the piece of wood in a clamp and then use the router by hand to make the grove? Or is there a better way?
