If you run one over 90lbs its going to wear out the seals pretty quick. You can buy the kits and do it yourself if you are pretty good with some dental tools( some of the seals are inside the gun and are hard to get to) otherwise most wood flooring ditributors who sell the guns will rebuild them for about 50 bucks. btw there should be only a small amount of air if any coming out of the gun while its not in use, normally all that you have air coming from is the worn out hose fittings.

thanks Kevin!

No, I have not yet used this tool for a single time. The air just came out of the "exhaust port"(?), (two holes covered by black mental cover near the top). The manual says a air pressure regulator is required. Not sure whether that's the case.

If I understand correctly, I can connect the stapler to the air compressor directly with a hose, right? There should not be any air leak what so ever. Just like the other air nailer.

Thanks!!

Right, the compressor should have a regulator so you can adjust the pressure already if not then you will need to find an aftermarket deal. the only time you should have air coming out of the exaust ports is when it's fired. If its brand new I would call about geting a replacement could be a factory defect.

It's defective. Or you blew the seals out, plugging into real high pressure.

You need a regulator in a bad way.

One of the o rings is busted. It can sometimes happen just from the tool sitting around for a long time. The regulator on your compressor should be enough.(I have never seen a compressor without a regulator.)

Take it back.

thanks guys!

wondering around and get a Bostitch MIIIFS from ebay. Well, paid much higher price than the 3rd party, but the new Bostitch works very well. The seller also include a foot acc for pre-finished floor. It also works flawless! 8)
