Rosewood.

Hello all,
We live in Dallas, Texas area and have around 1000 sq.ft carpetted area to be hardwood floored and have narrowed down to maple species and looking at either glue down or floating types and came across some posts where maple is not recommended to be glued down directly on concrete and we are looking at engineered maple. So someone please guide us in the right direction and also we came across the Patagonian Rosewood by Anderson and we liked the color since it goes with our decor would like some opinions on it as well. Also they sell it on hardwoodinstaller website and would like to get some feedback on them. Since it is rosewood would like to know the stability and the color change overtime.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hardwood Installer is a very reputable website. Engineered Maple can be glued down with no problems. Solid maple cannot be glued. Patagonian Rosewood is a great choice. It is very nice stuff. I would personally prefer the rosewood to the maple.

If the product is from a quality manufacturer and is recommended to be glued down then there should be no problem as long as all the guidelines are met. As far as which type of wood that's up to you but the Patagonian Rosewood will get very very dark like red wine.
