I'm adding 3/4 tg plywood to the subfloor. I'm think I'm going to glue and screw it.

At HD they said to use drywall screws.I'm not sure about that.

My question What type of screws should I use?

T&G plywood to a subfloor? Why? I suggest NOT using T&G plywood but standard 4x8 sheets. On the screw question, typically, one uses a cordless drill/driver to install screws. Phillips head are the most common. Drywall screws will work fine, as would deck screws or wood screws. You just want a screw that is self-tapping that you can use with a cordless driver.
