Well, it took a long time and lots of prep work (and the install was a tad tricky for a beginner), but my floor is finished all but for some mouldings. I have to say that I like it more and more each day. I spent a good bit of time leveling and planning the layout. The install took me about a week because I had to go around so many doorways (two adjoining rooms and an adjoining hallway). The wood met a tiled area in two seperate places and carpet in one place. It all came together great and I can't say enough about the quality of the Kahrs product. And, as Ken stated elsewhere on the board, I'm not sure why people do not use this product more. It may be listed as a builders item, but the finish is great and the "cabin grade" look is outstanding. Lots of character. I doubt I will ever have any kind of super grade (seems it would look plain and dull).
Thanks to all those that offered advice along the way. Could not have done it with the support of this forum.
Check my website for the final pictures and a long chronical of the process. Excuse the dirt and doggie paw prints. We live on this floor!
