I wonder if anyone could help? I am installing a solid 5/8 bamboo floor in a room that is 11feet by 18feet. There was carpeting down with wafer board under the carpet, both were removed. The joists under the floor is a truss which is 24 inches on center running parallel with the long wall which is the front wall of the condo. There is 1/2 inch ply down and I installed another layer of 1/2 inch over the existing ply perpendicular to the original ply. Is it more important to install the flooring perpendicular to the joists or can I install the flooring parallel to the floor joists themselves. I would prefer to have the flooring running parallel to the long walls if at all possible, but I want the install to be done right, even though it may look strange when entering the room on the long wall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Joel
