I recently had my floors installed done with syntecko and traffic, white oak and braz cherry. No yelolowing after 6 months and a they look as the day layed. What causes my moms Kahrs floos to yellow so drastically? I move the rug under the dining table and much prefer the clean natural look of the original surface

Kahrs uses a standard UV cured acrylic urethane. It yellows badly when exposed to sunlight. Almost the worst I've seen of light colored, prefinished floors.

Thank you Gary for once again your timely generous response to this and others post. You have proven yourself to be quite a gentleman.

I do not understand kahrs use of this finish on an otherwise nice product. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder i guess!

Thanks for the compliment. You know, it's been my only complaint with Kahrs. And if one buys a darker floor, the yellowing isn't noticable. But for a natural ash, oak, maple, etc. look out. I saw a Kahrs floor amber so badly in less than a year the homeowner sued the builder to get him to replace it. And she won! I'd guess Kahrs may have had to pitch in. I don't know. I would never recommend a very light colored Kahrs floor for a sunny breakfast nook.
