I want to patch the brad nail holes in primed MDF baseboards. What product is suggested for this task? I have read suggestions such as wax, auto body compound, caulking, wood putty, and vinyl spackling. Why is one better than the other? Thanks in advance.

I bought Elmer's Wood Filler in White and it works fantastic for the holes. I'm still not sure how the bondo is applied though.

I use a metal spatula thats wider than the base ...unless you got 10" base. Ya still gots to sand it smooth anyway.

I always paint it before I put it up. A little touch up if needed.

Bondo? I guess in arid Arizona, things dry up and crack.
Bondo, what a mess and time waster.

How about the elastomeric caulks? They are touted to be very flexible in varying temperature.

Exactly. A lot cleaner application also.
