I have removed a door frame and now need to add several boards where the frame was.

The current floor was refinished a year ago using a ceramic finish. Can they do a spot refinish where boards are added. One flooring company is suggesting that I will need to refinish the whole floor.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Gordon

It will depend mostly on the skill of the person doing the work, and the degree of expectation of the client. It is unlikely that a completely invisible patch can be done but the attempt may be worth it in order to save the cost of complete refinishing. Or you could put the door back up (lol).
