ok got 2 prices so far local guy in business 45 years to sand finish and apply stain water or poly 3 coats 250.00 he says he is dustless 160 sq feet total



160 sq feet next guy OIL base sand and refinish 350.00 if i want dustless 250.00 more and if i want stain .55 cents more a sq foot He says they use formulon and the satin smells much worse than the gloss

160 sq feet if i want Water it is 4 coats at 550.00 and dustless another 150.00 and a stain .55 cents more a sq foot.


Any thoughts over the big price difference? First guy if he uses oil uses Lenmar he says did not say for water based and uses minwax for stain....

Sounds like the first guy, really isn't using a dustless system, but tries to vaccum and tack well, and makes a weekly beer fund.

The second guy knows what it costs him, to stay in business, and has the ability to keep the interior of your home dust free, and not just dust in the finish.
