My question has to do with starting the first row on a wall that is not straight. The difference is about an inch in a length of 12'. If I measure out from the wall the width of the board plus expansion room, obviously the floor will not be straight. I can rip the first board at an angle to get a straight line to start from but, cannot figure out how to get a straight line to start with. The opposite or ending wall is also not straight (by about another inch over just 8 feet), so measuring from it back to my starting wall won't give me a straight line to start with either. Both walls will have either cabinets or appliances on them so the angled boards wouldn't matter but, obviosly I want to start with a straight line so that the visible part of the floor is straight. Thanks for any help, just wish I'd stumbled upon this site weeks ago. Guy Coulston
