Here are some pics of our new hardwood floors. We took out the carpet in the living room and stairs and had them lace in unfinished red oak and then have it stained with an Early American stain (Bona) and finished with three water-based satin coats (Traffic).
We hired a great company here in Denver and were very pleased with the work they did.
Enjoy and thanks again for everyone's past input and advice!

That looks beautiful. I like Oak. They did a great job.

Beautiful workmanship. But see those toenails on the hound?

Yes, I know about his nails. Bassets (we have two) generally have longer and thicker nails than other breeds. This was an older pic of Hoss, and he's getting his nails trimmed every couple of weeks to get the quicks to receed. Otherwise, we're limiting their use of the first floor and making sure they don't chase each other on the hardwood.

That looks really great with the color of your walls... all except maybe that red wall, what is up with the red wall? It looks ok but it sure sticks out in comparisson to the rest of the walls.

Very nice, I like the staircase. The color of the wall and floors fits well. Is the red wall your bedroom?

Thanks! The red wall is our dining room. It's the only room I went with a bold color. ;)

Wow. These look gorgeous! Congratultions. I' brand new to this website. We're moving into a new home and are looking to add aditional select red oak flooring plus sand and restain existing select red oak to match. We're moving just north of Denver and you seem very pleased with the company you used for this job. Could you send me the name of the company you used? ( I'm assuming that's allowed on this forum?) Do I need to post my email address?

Thanks!
