Hi, I'm a newbie with a problem...

While applying the last coat of poly to a traditional 3/4" red oak strip floor (in poor light) I didn't overlap the edge for about about 10"-12" and the width of one of the boards. The part I missed is pretty evident in the correct light. How can I fix this without compounding the problem? I am using Minwax Super Fast-Drying clear satin.

Thanks,

Mike

tape off, lightly buff and recoat the entire missed board then carefully remove the tape.

I would just buff the floor again and add another coating. This will add more protection and fix the problem.
