I was wondering if it was worth the time and money to finish the floors under my carpet? The house is from the 1940's and has always had carpet over the wood floors. I was told the floors are pine and the have never been finished the wood so far looks to be in great condition. I am not sure how much cost would be involved in this and if it was even woth dealing with.

It may be a little drafty. I suspect it is not T&G flooring, but slat boards for subflooring.
