I am a new hardwood floor owner and wasn't sure if it was okay to steam clean hardwood floor or not. They are all I have ever used but that was on tile, it seems like adding to much moisture to hardwoods might cause them to warp or something.

Also if it turns out I'm right about not using steam cleaners, what is it you recommend I do use to clean my hardwood floors.

no steaming..keep it simple..routine dusting..wet swiffers for quick cleaning and a professional wood floor cleaner as needed.. BONA Last n Last) both available at HD and Bed Bath and Beyond..

Home depot has a product by DEP that is good as well.
