I had 50 year old oak floor in excellent condition, with the exception of some color charge near the window, I sanded and finished with water poly. Thinking incorrectly that the finish would even the color. I now want to resand stain and then finish, will that work I also think the grain was raised in the area that was sun damage. What is best to do?
