Hi guys and gals.

I'm getting ready t put down my 3/4 Santos Mahogany. but have a valley its about 6' long and 5' wide. My room is 20' long total. Its about 1/4 out at its center and tapers out over a 5' span. I'm not really sure if I should leave it,I stacked up 15felt paper but I'm not really liking this I have like four layers. and still have a valley, smaller but there. what I was going to do and this is what need the ok on is to take a 4/8 sheet of 1/8 luann glued and screwed and feather the edges out. please any suggestions?

Its the worst at my start wall and its where my coach and end tables will be so I was almost not going to go crazy fixing but I have a big room and spent a lot on this wood and only want to do this once and I like to make it right.

I have the week end off and was going to get this done.

Using the Lauan as you suggest will work fine.
