My question to all the pros is this...........wood is a living thing....it shrinks, expands, shrinks again.......due to relative humidity. Does that mean that all wood floors......eventually have sounds that come from them when you step? Is it realistic at all to have a silent floor if it's wood? And if so, for how long? For those of you who answer....."yes" .......I don't have a humidifier........and live in Minnesota!

Wood flooring makes noise due to allowed movement. The edges rug together causing a noise.

The question is "why is the floor moving?".
Another Question may be: What is moving? The wood floor or the sub-floor?
