I sanded down my floors a couple of months ago and applied DuraSeal Super Base Sealer. I couldn't get the top coats on because the family came back. It's time now though. I wasn't very pleased with the way the maple floor looked with the water based sealer. Will water based top coats bring out the birdseye and curl more? Is it too late to go with an oil based finish like Traffic? If I do, would a good surface sanding suffice or would I have to drum sand again.
