I'm about to refinish the hardwood floors in my 1958 raised foundation home.
The floor is very bouncy and squeeky in a few rooms. Would it be wise to fix that issure before refinishing and if so how? Any suggestions on fixing a squeaky and slightly bounce floor would be geatly appreciated.

A "bouncy" floor is often due to floor joists over spanned. This is a structural issue. There are remedies but only the most experienced DIYers should attempt this type of repair. It requires one of two things. Either:
1) sister new joists along the existing ones to add rigidity to the joists. This will reduce flex and bounce. OR
2) Add a mid span girder with proper support, depending on whether you have a crawl space or a basement. With a basement, you need lolly columns (verticle supports of steel). In a crawl space, footings need to be poured to support verticle support posts for the new girder.

If you were replacing the floor, there would be some things you could do topside. But since you are wanting to salvage it and refinish it, the repairs for bouncing will need to be performed from below.
