I would ask the people at anderson about the 1" staple I think thats a little short for a half-inch floor personally, especially if its a wide plank.

I'm having trouble finding a number for Anderson customer service. Anyone have it? Thanks, Dave

Thanks! I called them and they said the 1.25" was indeed correct. I now have a Bostitch LHF97125-2 on the way that will be for sale when I get it! hehe I need to look at the ones that will handle 1.25" now. Thanks again, Dave

Everybody has an opinion, here's mine. A 1/4 inch crown, 18 gauge staple is what you should use. A senco SLS 20 is good for up to 3/8"; call them and see if they reccomend that gun for 1/2" flooring. I don't think so.
I don't use the Spotnail staples, I prefer the Senco staple, 1 1/4" long. I have put down thousands of feet of this product with that gun/staple combo with zero problems. There is a phone number for Anderson enclosed with the wood flooring. Call it, and see what they say. Most makers of engineered prefer you to use a trigger actuated fastener.

I looked up the Senco SLS20HF and it was only rated at 1" X 3/16" crown staples. I also saw the regular SLS 20 but it didn't have the flooring adapter. Any ideas? Thanks, Dave

Sorry, it should of read," I prefer to use a spotnail gun, with senco staples." The senco shoots the smaller gauge staple( as you know) . My bad.

Sorry, not sure of the model number. It shoots the 1/4" crown, 18 gauge staple. Manninton used to sell them as the "Floor Monster", and thats when I bought mine.
