Around here (California), both Lowe's and HD sell latex flooring adhesives. These type usually require you to install the flooring within approx. 1/2 hour. Compared to the 2 to 3 hour open time of a urethane, that's pretty fast drying. The brands I've seen will work, sort of. They are inexpensive. Pros don't usually buy flooring adhesive from Lowe's or HD and there's a reason for that. Our reputation and finances are on the line. If the job fails because of a poor adhesive, it costs us big time. I recommend using quality flooring adhesives purchased either online or from a local distributor. Top brands are Bostick's, Franklin, Taylor, DriTac, Henry's, Parabond and others. Often, a flooring manufacturer will recommend an adhesive. Sometimes they will have their own and you must use theirs to have the warranty in effect. Mannington and Anderson are this way. I usually recommend sticking to the manufacturer's instructions and products.
