What is the difference between buying a nailer/stapler used for personal use by someone on eBay, versus one of the companies that sell one that has been reconditioned by Bostitch? I assume during reconditioning they replace any wear items? Is it a warranty thing?

Seems the "used" ones go for $325-$350; or I could do a buy-it-now for $300 on a reconditioned.

Generally, reconditioned by the FACTORY or AUTHORIZED DEALER means it does come with a warranty. I imagine they replace whats needs to be replaced. O-rings probably and perhaps any damaged other parts. Reconditioned is a money saver with a warranty. I'd go for it.

I see thank you! I *thought* I saw that the FS would do nails also; but it looks like it only does staples?

The Bostitch M111 FS is a stapler. It can be converted to a cleat nailer and now, Bostitch does have an M111 FN that uses cleats only.
