I just bought a new house and am planning to rip out all the nasty orange carpet and lay down some hardwood - probably the engineered type. The problem is that I know we will be remodeling the house in 10-15 years (can't afford it now) and would love to be able to pull the hardwood up at that time and reuse most of it. So, how should I best lay the flooring down to make it most easily removed later? The wood I am looking at supports floating, gluedown, and nailing.

I am thinking of floating it, and being conservative with the glue going into the tongue and groove. Or skipping the glue altogether? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What type of remodeling are you planning that you can't leave it in place? You could cover it up with 1/4" plywood to protect it.
Also, in 10-15 years, you could have it sanded and refinished. It would probably need some type of refinishing anyway in that amount of time.

That part of the house might see a floorplan change: walls moving, etc. The plywood is good to know about though.

fold and lock floor, most can be reused but keep in mind patterns and colors are going to be different 10-15 years.

The suggestions you got already are good. And yes, in 15 years time, it might not be possible to match up a pre finished floor. So consider this .

You could use normal 3/4 unfinished wood and install it and site finish it. In 15 years time, if you move a wall , you can then weave in new unfinished flooring in whatever manner you see fit and then re sand everything together. Brand new wood will look lighter in color where the older wood will have gained a patina but in time, the new wood will gain the same patina and catch up.

And if for some reason you ant to take up the flooring , you can tear up one row and then get a reciprocating saw to under cut the staples or cleats and the flooring will come up undamaged.

There's benefits and down sides to every method.

I must have missed what kind of floor you got under that carpet. Is it wood or concrete and if wood what type, thickness, joists spacing etc.

Plywood (not particle) is under the carpet. Joist spacing, I don't know. Haven't been under the house yet.

Check the thickness and look at the fastening on top of the ply. Also go under or check a vent to see if there is a subfloor. . If it's (the ply) thick enough I'd go with Pauls advice.
